MOBILE SERVICE SCHEDULE OF FEES

Collection Services

This service is for cooled, transported semen.

The fee for this is $250.00 + GST per collection. Extra charges apply to multiple mares. Mileage fees are applied for distances greater than within 1 hour of Guelph

Freezing Services

The fee to process and freeze is $550.00 + GST for the first test freeze, then $450.00 + GST for each freeze thereafter. If the sample is inadequate to freeze, i.e. the volume or concentration is low or other factors, arrangements will be made to collect at another date. Mileage fees may be applied unless a minimum number of ejaculates are obtained, call for a quote.

Semen Storage

After freezing semen from your stallion, you may choose to store the semen with us. We can store the semen, catalogue and ship throughout North America.

Storage fees are $4 per month + GST per stallion. Shipping costs incurred are billed to the mare owner, with a handling charge of $50 per shipment.

Evaluation Service

A stallions' semen can be sent to our facility for evaluation purposes. This service can be done onsite as well, the stallion will be collected at your farm, and semen evaluated for criteria pertinent to the owner's request.

A standard evaluation will be charged collection fees, if applicable, + $85.00 +GST and includes motility, membrane integrity at 24 and 48 hours. If the owner requires a more extensive evaluation, such as capacitation assay and acrosomal integrity, a rate of $45.00 per hour will be added.

Educational Workshops

If you have an on site lab or facility, we can come to teach on the aspects of reproduction. Each workshop can be suited to your needs. Transported Semen Workshop $750 plus GST; Mare Insemination Workshop $550 plus GST. Farms are more than welcome to invite others to help with costs. A certificate of participation is awarded after successful completion of the workshops.

Stallion Collection Training

Stallion training involves training a stallion to collect artificially, either on the ground or off of a phantom mare.

The charge for this service is $600.00 + GST. We try to incorporate this into regular collections or workshops to reduce the cost. If we need to return to your farm, a mileage fee will apply.

Set up Your Own Facility

We can help you set up your own home facility for servicing your customers directly. We can enable you to meet the demands of today's market and expand your stallions' book by providing workshops and seminars catered to meet your needs. Call for a quote.

Mileage Rates

If your farm is within a one-hour drive from Guelph, we do not charge any mileage fees. To keep costs down, if we are able to perform freeze services for more than one stallion in your area, we offer no mileage fees. This is provided there are 2 ejaculates from 2 stallions to perform freeze services on at the same location or within 50 km or the price for freezing may be higher to incorporate the mileage.

Normal mileage rate is with trailer $0.75 per km; without trailer $0.40 per km.

Minimum Charge

Should we not be able to collect the stallion due to inadequate libido, failure to have a mare in estrus or other reasons, a minimum charge of $200 will be billed.

A deposit of $100 will be required to book our mobile lab.
